Is Reiki a Religion
Short answer, no. Reiki is a spiritual practice, healing art, and a roadmap for stress reduction, personal growth, and leading a happy life. Reiki is unaffiliated with any religion, although Sensei Usui served as a layperson with extensive knowledge of Buddhism. Reiki is a form of energy healing.
What Exactly is Energy Healing
According to the National Cancer Institute, Energy Healing is
” A form of complementary and alternative medicine based on the belief that a vital energy flows through the human body. The goal of energy healing is to balance the energy flow in the patient. It is used to reduce stress and anxiety and promote well-being. Energy healing is being studied in cancer therapy patients to determine if it can improve quality of life, boost the immune system, or reduce side effects.”
Are Reiki, Reflexology or Acupressure Massage
The short answer is no. A massage therapist may include Reiki, Reflexology, or Acupressure in a session. The purpose of massage is to manipulate muscles, joints, and tendons to relieve tension and pain. Practitioners perform Reiki hands-on or by hovering their hands inches over a person. In Reflexology, various parts of the hands and feet correlate to organs, like the heart or intestines. Acupressure is a traditional Chinese medicine form and works with the Meridian Energy System. It is like Acupuncture but without needles.
Should I Discontinue My Medication If I Use Complementary Methods
No. You should never stop taking medication without consulting your healthcare provider.
Do You Accept Walk-Ins or Provide in-person Services
No. I only offer classes/workshops that teach you self-care techniques. You must schedule your class in advance.

Where Are You Located
The address that is publically listed is the mailing address. My office is located in a private residence in the League City/Dickinson area. Once classes are scheduled, the address is electronically sent via e-mail or text.
Do You Accept Insurance
No. Insurance generally does not cover the classes I provide.
Refunds
Due to the nature of the electronic delivery of class materials, we do not offer refunds if you need to cancel your class. We work with you to reschedule and complete your class within 30 days.
